Center for Psychological Health has partnered with certified teachers in order to provide reading enrichment for rising first grade students. We would love to have your youngster join us for a fun filled 3 hour reading workshop.  During our time together we will explore skills that they will need in first grade in a fun, thematic way. Our ocean-themed activities will include:

• Playing  phonemic awareness games 

• Listening to, discussing, and responding to a story with an art based craft

• Using problem solving skills in a STEM activity (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

• Playing in ocean themed literacy based activities 

• Reading a recipe and creating a fun ocean themed snack

Our Teachers:

Ms. Patricia Rene has been a Kindergarten teacher for 18 years.  She has extensive experience helping students learn to read and write.  She is also the team leader for Kindergarten.

Ms. Tamra Myers has been in education for over 30 years.  In addition to teaching kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade classes, she has helped write curriculum, presented workshops, and taught at kid college.  She is currently working as a Reading Interventionist.
